Booz Allen Supports New Intelligence Analyst Certificate Program
Firm's staff are among the first graduates of an intelligence analysts certificate program.
A group of Booz Allen Hamilton consultants are among the first to complete an inaugural intelligence analyst certification offered by Erie, Pennsylvania-based Mercyhurst College. The goals of the program are to introduce students to current intelligence theory and application, build their intelligence analysis skills, improve their intelligence writing abilities, and strengthen their team management skills.
"This program will develop a cadre of intelligence analysts who are better prepared to provide critical support to a wide range of Booz Allen clients across the intelligence, law enforcement, and homeland security communities," said Booz Allen Vice President Chuck Jones. "It also represents a significant step towards institutionalizing intelligence analysis as a recognized academic discipline. This next generation of analysts is in significant demand throughout government and industry to address the Global War on Terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction."
The Mercyhurst College Certificate in Intelligence Studies is a three course, nine credit hour graduate certificate program. Students can use the nine graduate credits awarded through the certificate to partially satisfy the degree requirements for the Master of Science degree in Applied Intelligence offered by the Mercyhurst College Institute for Intelligence Studies.
Classes are taught by former members of the U.S. Military Services, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the civilian intelligence community in a blended format of instructor-led and on-line delivery.
