Mayer Re-elected to Homeland Security Board

The firm’s involvement helps foster an understanding of and share information about homeland security and its impacts in the business community.

Jack MayerBooz Allen Hamilton Vice President Jack Mayer has been re-elected to a three-year term on the 2009 board of the Homeland Security and Defense Business Council. This is Mayer’s second term on the Council. He will serve as Board Secretary.

The Council is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization whose membership is comprised of senior executives of the nation’s leading corporations that support the homeland security market and its services, technologies, and products on behalf of the nation’s interests.

Council members develop and share a full range of information to increase the awareness of homeland security across the public and private sectors. In addition, the Council facilitates dialogue among federal agencies responsible for homeland security and defense, the legislative branch, state and local governments, and the private sector to promote the sharing of best practices across organizational boundaries.

A thought leader with a deep understanding of domestic homeland security, Mayer is widely recognized for his expertise in program planning and budgeting, organizational change and transformation, and strategic planning. He leads Booz Allen’s business efforts in support of the Department of Homeland Security. A former member of Booz Allen’s Board of Directors and former chairman of the Board’s Personnel Committee, Mayer joined the firm in 1997.
