Booz Allen Hamilton has worked for more than 65 years to help the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps meet their mission with increasing speed, efficiency, and power.

U.S. Navy and Marine Corps

Since 1940, when Edwin Booz helped Secretary of the Navy Frank Knox prepare for World War II, Booz Allen has applied strategy and technology to help the U.S. Navy address its most crucial challenges. We support organizations from the Office of the Secretary of the Navy, Chief of Naval Operations, and the Commandant of the Marine Corps to the Office of Naval Intelligence and USN/Marine operating commands and systems commands. Our teams also assist Joint Program Executive Offices (PEO) and individual PEOs such as Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Seas Systems Command (NAVSEA), USMC Systems Command, and Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR).

Today’s Navy and Marines must equip global forces for greater flexibility, mobility, and lethality; sustain output while reducing costs; and integrate new technology while applying human capital strategy. Booz Allen uses a multidimensional approach that analyzes and balances key factors–people, process, technology, and infrastructure–and supplies the perspective of long-term specialists, many with Navy and Marine Corps backgrounds. Our innovative solutions deliver measurable savings, reduced risk, and rapid results.

Our Work

Booz Allen partners with Navy and Marine Corps clients to address today’s issues and those over the horizon. We combine decades of Navy experience with a local presence at worldwide commands, ensuring a speedy process. Whether supporting readiness initiatives, modernization, or joint operations, our strategy and technology consultants help clients increase efficiency and reduce costs. Examples of our work include:

  • Fleet Readiness Enterprise (FRE)—Our consultants provide integrated support to help the Navy deliver ready operational forces cost effectively...from enterprise governance to current readiness and future capability requirements, information operations to integrated logistics, data visibility to linked metrics, and change management to an affordable future.

  • Aviation Systems Engineering—Our systems engineers address and resolve engineering issues associated with major weapons systems ranging from manned and unmanned aircraft to weapons to major components such as propulsion, sensors, and flight controls systems.

  • PEO Support—Our consultants perform a wide range of acquisition, financial, and systems engineering services to support the Navy’s development of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I), Joint Tactical Radio, and narrowband satellite communications systems.

  • Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS)—Booz Allen provided acquisition, program management, financial management, cost estimating, and systems engineering services to help the JTRS Joint PEO develop the next-generation voice-and-data system.

  • Joint Wireless Tactical Networking—We provide services to support the Department of Defense's (DoD) emerging wireless communications capabilities for ships, aircraft, ground vehicles, and dismounted troops.

  • Narrowband Satellite Communications—Our consultants have provided continuous acquisition, financial, and systems engineering support to the Navy’s narrowband satellite communications systems since 1987.

  • Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA)—Booz Allen has provided support for numerous strategy and policy, operational planning and support, and systems architecture initiatives to support Navy MDA.

  • Integrated Communications Strategy (ICS)—We developed the ICS for HQMC C4 to map the C4/IT operational and infrastructure roadmap for the future Marine Corps requirements.

  • Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC)—We identify capability gaps and provide development support for GCSS-MC, the new Marine Corps logistics family of systems.

  • Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC)—Our multi-function team developed the executive-level communications plan used to introduce MARSOC into the special operations community and across the Marine Corps, and to help it compete successfully for special operations resources.

  • Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicles—Our financial and technical analysis allows USMC SVSCOM to make faster, more cost-effective decisions for the DoD’s top-priority acquisition program.
