July 8, 2009—The Partnership for Public Service presentation featured new research by Harvard Professor Steve Kelman and Booz Allen Hamilton focusing on the methods used by effective public managers to change government. This event offered a great opportunity to learn from three of the most successful public service leaders from the past two administrations. Drawing from their experiences, the panelists discussed ways to change government now and the techniques that differentiate successful leaders from the rest.
Panelists included Charles Rossotti, former IRS Commissioner; David Walker, former Comptroller General / head of GAO; and James Loy, former Coast Guard Commandant.
