Booz Allen provides the following PLCL services:
- Supportability Analysis and Planning. We develop, plan, document, and implement life-cycle supportability planning for a range of US Government products, information systems and services, and Department of Defense (DoD) weapon systems from acquisition through demilitarization and disposal.
- Performance-Based Logistics (PBL). We develop support strategies that optimize system support by focusing on the warfighter’s needs. The PBL approach integrates all aspects of support and aligns requirements, incentives, and competent organizations to optimize support. In support of strategy development, we perform business case analyses that evaluate the costs, benefits, and risks of various public and private logistics support frameworks to identify the best value logistics support solution. We facilitate performance-based agreements that align warfighter, program office, and support providers through appropriate measurements.
- Logistics Engineering. We examine, understand, and exploit reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) system level and component-level data to increase product and weapon system reliability, drive down operating costs, and improve overall system availability. Our approach improves the logistics process throughput and reduces overall process variability to optimize equipment availability and control total cost of ownership.
- Design for Affordability. We define and execute a total life-cycle cost change management program by specifically targeting the inherent (design-based) and structural (assembly-based) cost drivers that affect US Government product or weapon system life-cycle costs.
