H-1 Weapons Systems Support Activity Booz Allen Hamilton staff from our China Lake office in Ridgecrest, CA make an immediate and lasting impact for the US Marine Corps by supporting its #1 aviation program: upgrading AH-1Z Vipers and UH-1Y Venoms—aviation “combat veterans”—into more powerful and more lethal 21st century aircraft. “I’m proud to have the opportunity to support combat Marines who are in ‘harms way’,” says Booz Allen Senior Associate Jim Seaman. By providing systems engineering and integration of multiple aircraft and weapon systems components, software operational flight program development, and the information assurance security functions for the entire H-1 Weapons Systems Support Activity (WSSA), the Booz Allen team helped the H-1 team compress an 18-month test program into 4 months so this critical warfighting capability could be deployed to Marines in combat on time.
