Diversity
Booz Allen Hamilton is committed to diversity in the workforce because we believe that diversity of backgrounds contributes to different ideas, which in turn drives better results for clients. To us, diversity means all the ways individuals differ from one another—race, gender, ethnicity, physical abilities, educational background, country of origin, age, sexual orientation, skills, income, marital status, parental status, religion, work experience, and military service.
As one of our firm’s Core Values, diversity is reflected in our policies. Our fundamental Equal Employment policy is 'to identify, attract, retain, and advance the most qualified persons, without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability, veterans status, genetic information, or any other status protected by law.' In addition, we have implemented policies on Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, Flexible Work Arrangements, Persons with Disabilities, US Domestic Partner Benefits, Sexual Harassment, and Workplace Harassment, among others.
Diversity and Employee Forums
The employee forums and groups active within Booz Allen are a part of the firm's commitment to diversity. These groups facilitate understanding and awareness within the firm's diverse communities and create initiatives to improve quality of work life for our staff. In addition, they serve as a communication pipeline from constituents to senior leadership, and reach out to the external community through sponsorship and community service.
