Vault Guide Names Booz Allen the Number One Technology Consulting Firm

The latest edition of "The Vault Guide to the Top 25 Technology Consulting Firms" lists Booz Allen Hamilton as first overall in prestige. Vault also recognized Booz Allen as a leader in strategy consulting; the firm claimed the #4 position in Vault's management and strategy consulting survey in 2003 and 2004.

Results are based on input from 525 practicing consultants at leading tech consulting companies. The individuals used a survey to rank the top 25 tech consulting firms on a scale of 1 to 10 based on their perceptions of "prestige." The consultants, almost all of whom are employees of the top firms, do not rank their own organization.

Vault defined a "prestigious firm" as "one that maintains a high rate of return clientele, has a highly selective hiring process, commands respect within its sector, and produces alumni who go on to executive positions in the industry or at other firms."
