Booz Allen Training and Career Development Program Recognized in 2002
Booz Allen Hamilton is deeply committed to the professional development of its staff and that commitment is reflected in its training and development program. The American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) recognized several of these programs with a total of five awards and citations during a June 2002 ceremony held in New Orleans, Louisiana.
- 2 Excellence in Practice Awards — Given in recognition of Booz Allen's Intranet-based Virtual Campus, which features more than 600 courses and an extensive online library, and its People Strategy campaign, which resulted in the introduction of new benefits and opportunities for employees.
- 3 Excellence in Practice Citations — Given in recognition of Booz Allen's Peer Coaching program, which pairs newly hired or promoted senior staff with a personal peer coach for one year. The goal is to improve the transition process for new leaders through workshops on topics such as business development, work-life balance, and working with challenging clients. Booz Allen's Virtual Campus also received a citation in the training management category.
