Booz Allen Offers Staff Award-Winning e-Learning Environment
Corporate University Xchange (CUX) awarded Booz Allen Hamilton a 2002 CUX Excellence Award in the e-Learning category during a June 9, 2002, ceremony held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sponsored by the Financial Times, the CUX Excellence Awards honor corporate learning organizations that have demonstrated innovation and excellence in corporate education and training. Ed Cohen, Director of Booz Allen's Center for Performance Excellence, accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
Booz Allen was recognized for creating a learning environment using technology, incorporating the firm's strategic goals into the learning infrastructure, and creating a learning environment that improves business performance. The firm's intranet-based Virtual Campus features more than 600 courses and an extensive online library. Well used by staff, the Virtual Campus gets more than 75,000 hits each month.
"The Virtual Campus is the gateway to all the learning opportunities available through the Center for Performance Excellence," said Cohen. "Our goal is to make learning accessible to all employees of Booz Allen regardless of location or time differences."
