Sharing global cultural heritage and diversity is the mission of Booz Allen Hamilton's newly-formed Multinational Forum. To meet this goal, the forum's leadership is planning a series of unique events that actively foster understanding, respect, inclusion, and opportunity for all employees to enhance staff and management's sensitivity to diverse cultures within the firm.
Booz Allen believes that the ability to network among colleagues with a variety of cross-cultural personal and professional backgrounds allows for better understanding of multicultural differences. The Multinational Forum's welcoming and supportive career development environment embraces these differences as strengths, seeking to educate, inform, and broaden interactions within Booz Allen.
The forum also plans to:
- Support a mentorship program.
- Assist the firm's Recruiting Services Team to create a diverse pool of talent at all levels.
- Develop strategies that will create opportunities for all staff to be successful.
- Identify and support management practices that demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of the skills necessary to manage a diverse workforce.
- Work to create an organizational climate that supports and values all Booz Allen employees.
"I am so thankful, appreciative, and unbelievably proud to be a citizen of this great country, my adopted country," says Ghassan Salameh, Booz Allen Senior Vice President and Sponsor of the Multinational Forum. "I am absolutely certain that there is no other place on earth where someone like me, the son of Palestinian refugees growing up below the poverty line, dependent on the United Nations for survival, can make it to the top of corporate America, working for one of the most successful and prestigious companies in the world. And for that I am very grateful. No matter what path brought you to Booz Allen, we are here to embrace it."
