Firm Is One of the Best US Places to Work in Technology - 2003
Computerworld magazine selected Booz Allen as one of the top U.S. workplaces for IT professionals.
Computerworld annually ranks the top 100 U.S.-based work environments for technology professionals based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training, and retention. The magazine ranked Booz Allen 39th overall.
"The companies we've named as Best Places to Work all make an effort to keep their IT workers focused and challenged, especially in hard economic times," said Computerworld Editor in Chief Maryfran Johnson. "Ample training opportunities, rewarding projects, flexible schedules, a sense of pride in the IT department — the best employers use these key ingredients to build great IT work environments."
The magazine also placed Booz Allen:
- 2nd out of 100 in the Percentage of IT Turnover category
- 8th in the Average Training Budget per IT Employee category
- 15th in the Percentage of Minority IT Staff category
Training Magazine's Top 100
Earlier this year Training magazine named Booz Allen to its 2003 Training Top 100 list. The firm rocketed up the list from 52nd in 2002 to 6th place in this year's rankings and received kudos for its tuition advancement and university partnership program.
