Christine Brandell

Today: Christine is the Vice President of Government Services at RS Information Systems. As the company's first female VP, Christine is managing a division of $110 million in revenue with about 500 employees, serving 24 government agencies primarily focused on information technology-related services.

What, in a nutshell, did you learn at Booz Allen? Booz Allen taught me how to manage customer politics while providing consulting services to the federal government.

Do you feel that Booz Allen served as a foundation to your current position? In my time at Booz Allen, I gained intimate knowledge of the U.S. federal government environment that has shaped my career — Booz Allen was definitely a part of what got me where I am today! My experience was great overall and I thoroughly enjoyed my association with the company.

Would you recommend working at Booz Allen? If so, why? I would absolutely recommend Booz Allen as an employer — it's an industry leader with a great reputation, and a good total compensation plan and benefits package for its employees. In addition, the leaders at the firm understand the importance of mentoring entry-level employees to retain them for the long term.

What does the successful consultant do well here? A successful Booz Allen consultant leads by example, grows the business, and successfully manages customer relationships.

I'm new to Booz Allen ... Any advice for me? Don't underestimate how hard you need to work, understand your customer's mission, and always focus on providing a value-add to both your customer and the company.
