
Sam Porgess, a Senior Vice President at Booz Allen Hamilton, leads the firm’s Systems Engineering & Integration business, focusing on complex infrastructure projects for Defense, Security, and Civil clients. He is based in Los Angeles, where he serves an array of clients including the U.S. Air Force, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and local transportation clients. His team’s primary functional focus is in engineering and integrating complex systems and infrastructure.

Prior to joining Booz Allen, Mr. Porgess worked on the design of an inertial-aided velocity-measuring sonar system for the TRIDENT II submarine.
Mr. Porgess authored technical reports and articles including “DGPS-based Vessel Traffic Systems using UHF Communications and GIS Technologies” for Institute of Navigation magazine, and “Between Two Oceans: Tracking Ships through the Panama Canal” for GPS World.
He attended the Polytechnic Institute of New York, where he received a MSEE degree.
