Booz Allen Hamilton Vice President Grant McLaughlin is a leader in the firm’s civil market with a focus on life sciences and public health. With more than 20 years of consulting experience in human capital, learning, and strategic communications, Mr. McLaughlin is a thought leader in digital communications, collaboration, engagement, and new business models.
He leads major initiatives affecting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the citizens they serve. In addition, he contributes his expertise to the firm’s broader health business, serving international and non-profit health organizations, such as Smithsonian Institution, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, Alzheimer’s Association, CDC Foundation, Arthritis Foundation, Gallaudet University, Special Olympics and Oceans Conservancy. He also works with the US Department of Veterans Affairs and the Military Health System.

He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and the American Public Health Association (APHA). He is a lifetime member of the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) and served on its Board. He served two terms as a Board member of the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Region and is a champion for Booz Allen’s annual participation in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Mr. McLaughlin holds a B.A. degree in communications from Bethany College, and an M.A. degree in political management from The George Washington University. He also holds professional certifications from Harvard University, Georgetown University, PROSCI and IAP2 in communications and change management.
