Kristine Martin Anderson

Senior Vice President

Kristine Martin Anderson is a Booz Allen Hamilton Senior Vice President aligned to the health care sector. Based in Rockville, Maryland, she is recognized as a thought leader for her expertise in:

  • Evaluating and improving quality of clinical care
  • Designing strategies for the use of electronic health record, and personal health record data, in public and private health care programs
  • Enabling health data exchange and interoperability

Ms. Martin Anderson leads Booz Allen’s health IT capability, including helping clients address the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Major clients include the Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), the Agency for Health Research and Quality (AHRQ), and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Prior to joining Booz Allen, she was the Vice President for Operations and Strategy at CareScience, a software solutions company that she helped launch in 1992 and take public in 2000. At CareScience, Ms. Martin Anderson oversaw the launch of several innovative products, including the nation’s first Web-based clinical decision support system for hospitals, and the nation’s first health information exchange. The firm’s benchmark product, Quality Manager, has been used by more than 200 health systems to benchmark hospital and physician performance and improve patient care.

Ms. Martin Anderson is a frequent speaker and has authored or co-authorized several published articles. Some of her most recent work appeared in publications, such as Managed Healthcare Executive and Health Affairs.

Ms. Martin Anderson serves on the Quality and Safety Committee of the Board of Directors for the Sisters of Mercy Health System in St. Louis, MO, and the Consensus Standards Approval Committee (CSAC) of the National Quality Forum.

She holds a B.A. degree from the University in Pennsylvania and an M.B.A from The Wharton School of Business.
