
Based at Booz Allen Hamilton’s McLean, Virginia campus, Vice President Gale Smith is a leader for the firm’s Army business in the National Capital region, including Headquarters, Department of the Army, Army Field Operating Agencies, Army Pacific, Training and Doctrine Command, Office of Business Transformation, Human Capital Enterprise, Tank Automotive Life Cycle Management Command, Acquisition and Sustainment, Program Executive Office Simulations, Training and Instrumentation, and related programs. He is also responsible for numerous client efforts within US PACOM.

A former Colonel with the U.S. Army, Mr. Smith has held command and staff positions in operational and institutional organizations from platoon to theater-level worldwide. He is a combat veteran with service in Viet Nam and Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Mr. Smith has uniformed service and business experience in Europe, Southwest Asia, Korea, and throughout the U.S. and its territories.
He is a member of the Association of the U.S. Army, Armed Forces Communication and Electronics Association, U.S. Army Armor and Cavalry Association, Military Officer Association of America, Army Aviation Association of America, and is on the board of the Army Heritage and Education Foundation.
Mr. Smith holds an M.A. in management and public administration from Midwestern State University; a B.S. with honors in political philosophy and international relations from the University of Southern Colorado; and is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College and the Armed Forces Joint Staff College, Rotary Wing, Armor, and Infantry schools.
