
Robert Silverman, a Vice President at Booz Allen Hamilton, leads the firm’s efforts in the field of analytics for federal energy, transportation, and environment clients.
Mr. Silverman has worked with asset management organizations in both the public and private sectors, including the Departments of Defense and Transportation, General Services Administration, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and state and local transit agencies.
In addition, Mr. Silverman has actively worked Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) programs for the Joint Task Force National Capital Region Medical and Office of the Secretary of Defense. He has also provided economic and financial analysis support to projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
An expert in asset management, Mr. Silverman often serves as a featured speaker at industry events, including the National Academies of Science Federal Facilities Council, Interagency Committee for Property Management, Project Management Institute, Association of Government Accountants, and many others.
His research on advanced program management analytics and earned valued was published in the Journal of Facilities Management. His article, “Assessing the Performance of Construction Projects: Implementing Earned Value Management at the General Services Administration,” has been referenced by numerous other journals.
Prior to joining Booz Allen, Mr. Silverman worked for a variety of organizations including Logistics Management Institute, University of Baltimore, and KPMG Consulting.
Mr. Silverman received an M.S. degree in systems analysis for public decision making, a B.S. in mathematical sciences, and a B.A. in economics from Johns Hopkins University.
