Horacio D. Rozanski
President and Chief Operating Officer
As President and Chief Operating Officer at Booz Allen Hamilton, Horacio Rozanski is responsible for operational excellence and efficiency throughout the firm. He drives strategies to meet the firm’s business goals and enable an operating model to help staff identify and respond to emerging trends that affect clients across the firm’s markets. He is integrally involved in all aspects of managing the firm’s national and international operations and workforce, leading efforts to improve productivity, profitability, and service delivery.
Throughout his 20-year career at Booz Allen, Mr. Rozanski has played a key role in major strategic initiatives. Most recent efforts include the 2008 separation of Booz Allen’s core government and commercial businesses into two distinct firms; Booz Allen Hamilton’s 2010 IPO; its 2011 expansion into international and commercial markets; and Vision 2020, an initiative designed to chart the firm’s future.
Mr. Rozanski joined the firm in 1992 to focus on marketing and channel strategy across a range of industries. He was elected vice president in 1999, appointed Chief Personnel Officer in 2003, named Chief Strategy and Talent Officer in 2010, and Chief Operating Officer in 2011. During Mr. Rozanski’s tenure, Booz Allen has experienced significant staff and revenue growth and has garnered significant worldwide recognition, including Fortune’s list of the “World’s Most Admired Companies”.
Mr. Rozanski is a respected authority and leader in the consulting industry, quoted in major newspapers and business magazines. He speaks at major business conferences on leadership strategy, technology and operations, talent and diversity. Hispanic Business Magazine named him to its list of the 2012 Most Influential Leaders in the United States.
He holds a B.B.A. degree (summa cum laude) from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and an M.B.A. degree with high honors from the University of Chicago. He sits on the board of advisors for the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts.
