Ronald Hodge

"Based at Booz Allen Hamilton’s headquarters in McLean, Virginia, Senior Vice President Ron Hodge focuses on clients in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Justice (DOJ). As a leader in the firm’s Technology capability, Mr. Hodge brings more than 30 years of experience in professional management and engineering experience for large, complex information systems and networks. He leads Booz Allen’s business in the Law Enforcement/Border Protection components of the DHS, which includes Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and United States Coast Guard (USCG). He specializes in assisting law enforcement in enhancing mission effectiveness through:

  • IT Governance/Leadership—Working with clients to ensure appropriate decision rights, infrastructure, collaboration/partnership constructs, communications, and processes to create an effective and efficient IT environment.
  • IT Program Management—Enhancing government’s ability to link requirements to performance and achieve quality results in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Information Sharing—Addressing common challenges in governance, policy, technology, culture, and economics (i.e., the “value” of sharing) to provide invaluable intelligence, operational, and analytic tools to law enforcement.
  • Innovation Management—Creating systems, networks, and processes to catalyze and harvest innovation; using advanced analytics/data mining techniques to realize the full potential of information.
  • Risk Assessment—Developing tools to help facilitate, integrate, and prioritize risk measurement and assessment to improve and expedite decision making.

Mr. Hodge is a leader in the System Development Center of Excellence (COE), where he works with other leaders to foster innovation and create greater value through high integrity processes and systems delivery. In the leader for many client assignments, he pulls together professionals from disciplines across the firm to address client challenges. Previously, Mr. Hodge created Booz Allen’s wireless and mobility services capability to address a myriad of client needs from tactical communications and interoperability to RFID and intelligent transportation systems. His early work in information sharing led to the development of a broadly adopted information sharing framework and maturity model, adopted by federal government clients.

Mr. Hodge has served in various governance roles over his tenure, including performing as the People Officer, Marketing and Branding Lead, and the Finance officer for Booz Allen’s Technology capability. He previously served on Booz Allen’s Finance and Operations Group, (now the Operations Committee) which oversees firm-wide finances, operations, and integration and education.

Mr. Hodge is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS), a nonprofit community service organization focused on helping individuals and families to improve their quality of life and promote community cooperation and support in responding to family needs. He is active on the NVFS strategic planning committee, focused on establishing goals and measuring program performance, and enhancing services to families (affordable housing, financial counseling, Early Head Start, foster care, retraining for better jobs, health programs).

Mr. Hodge is a graduate of the George Washington University, where he earned an MBA in Information Systems Management and holds a B.S. degree in Management and Marketing from Virginia Tech. He is currently a member of the Management Advisory Board to Virginia Tech’s Pamplin School of Business.
