Executive Vice President
Greg is a Executive Vice President and lead of Booz Allen’s Strategic Innovation Group (SIG) Digital Initiative focused on the Internet of Things (IOT), delivering modular agile solutions that integrate deep understanding of mission and systems development with the latest technologies in social, mobile, and cloud computing. Currently, he is focused on the consumer/interactive aspects to create new solutions for Digital Citizen (G2C), Warrior (C4ISR), and Workforce (Health) clients. He has a proven track record in the application of emerging technologies (e.g. Cloud Computing, SOA) to design, develop, and deliver large-scale, enterprise systems to address the transformational business and missions needs across Federal and Commercial clients. He has a deep understanding in the DoD Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C2/C4ISR) mission area and Enterprise Integration leveraging API Design and Management.
A specialist in distributed computing solutions, his experience includes intelligence community systems, tactical warfighting systems, commercial web-based systems and advanced distributed simulation. He is a recognized leader in the areas of:
- Business to business (B2B) exchanges
- Service-oriented architectures (SOA)
- Distributed simulation
- Grid computing
Through most of his career, he has been focused on the continued net-centric transformation of IT systems, helping DoD clients achieve enterprise efficiency through re-use and integration. He is working with Army, Navy, USD(I), AT&L, DISA, and the Air Force to architect and implement net-centric solutions across the DoD C2ISR enterprise. Additionally, Mr. Wenzel is currently the Chairman of the Board for the Association for Enterprise Information (AFEI), an NDIA Affiliate.
From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Wenzel served as Chief Architect for several commercial B2B exchanges while at Aestix.com. Prior to Aestix, he was Chief Engineer for several distributed applications supporting multiple clients across the DoD, including DARPA, DIA, DCA-C4S DISA, Air Force, and Army. Additionally, Mr. Wenzel served eight years in the US Army National Guard/Reserves as a Combat Engineer (Sapper) and achieved the rank of Captain.
Mr. Wenzel holds a B.S. degree in computer science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University.
