Frederick Knops
Booz Allen Hamilton Vice President Fred Knops is co-lead of a team of more than 4,500 IT strategy, systems development, infrastructure, and acquisition professionals who support the firm’s government clients in trade, defense, and homeland security. He currently focuses on projects for the Department of Homeland Security, with a specific emphasis on headquarters operations and emergency management and response organizations.
During his tenure at the firm, Mr. Knops has leveraged his deep IT and telecommunications expertise to serve clients throughout the U.S., Europe, and Latin America in industries that include telecommunications, financial services, and energy.
Before joining Booz Allen in 1989, Mr. Knops worked for the Center for Naval Analysis.
Mr. Knops holds an MBA from the George Washington University, a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan, and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
