Booz Allen sponsors and actively participates in various small business industry events annually.  These forums offer small businesses an opportunity to network and market their products and services, which have resulted in many subsequent teaming agreements for specific procurements that Booz Allen is pursuing.  Some events in which we have participated in the past are as follows:

Through these outlets and efforts to target small businesses and our long-standing recognition of the contribution that small businesses have in ensuring that our results endure for our clients, we have many small business partnering success stories.  For example, in government fiscal year 2010, Booz Allen subcontracted over $1 billion to our teaming partners. Of those dollars, more than 64 percent went to small businesses.

Booz Allen has also been recognized with various recent small business accolades including:

  • Certificate of Achievement Award — The U.S. Department of Justice has recognized Booz Allen’s Small Business Program and its small business subcontracting accomplishments for FY2008.  The award marks the third consecutive year Booz Allen has received this award
     
  • 2010 Corporate Trailblazer Award — Morehouse College recognized Booz Allen’s successfully utilization of HBCU institutions as strategic partners. The award was presented on February 26, 2010.
     
  • Corporate Champions Award — In 2007 and 2008 the Department of Veterans Affairs recognized Booz Allen’s commitment to the veteran-owned small business community
     
  • DoD Nunn-Perry Award — In 2005, 2008, and then again in 2010, the Department of Defense Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization recognized Booz Allen and teammates for their outstanding mentor-protégé relationships
     
  • Prime Subcontracting Award — In 2008, the Secretary of Defense awarded Booz Allen a Prime Subcontracting Award for subcontracting excellence with Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Booz Allen was presented the award for the second consecutive year
     
  • Top 10 Best Corporations for Veteran-Owned Small Businesses — In 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and then again in 2011. Vetrepreneur recognized Booz Allen for its commitment to the veteran-owned small business community
