Our Services and Approach

The Booz Allen survey philosophy leverages a diverse set of approaches and methodologies, and we work to develop solutions that make the most efficient use of client time and resources. Our work in this field ranges from small, one-time surveys to large-scale efforts integrated into corporate strategic planning processes. We can perform assessments that address a single organizational issue (e.g., a customer or employee assessment), or we can perform a more comprehensive assessment strategy that will provide a fuller picture of organizational functioning and performance. Similarly, the methodologies we employ are tailored to the specific needs of the client and range from single-method, paper-based surveys to integrated approaches using a variety of data collection tools (web-based surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.) to provide the client with a deeper understanding of the issues under investigation. We provide expert guidance throughout the survey and analysis life-cycle. We start with instrument and item development and we employ an appropriate sampling methodology/survey deployment. Our assistance continues through qualitative and quantitative analyses and improvement plans. Throughout the survey lifecycle, we work with clients to maximize response rates to ensure high-quality, representative, and reliable data. Our methodology involves a six-step approach.

The final step in the assessment process is to develop an action plan to effect the changes that will improve overall organizational performance. Booz Allen approaches all survey efforts with a bias toward action, taking survey results from the realm of reports and data and translating them into results for our clients. We assist the client with fully understanding the results, implications, and limitations of the survey report, and we draw clear linkages from the survey results to the business solutions in the action plan. Booz Allen then works with its clients to implement the action plan and thus create the changes in structure, processes, and people that make an immediate impact and drive long-term results.
