How to Use Alliant

The General Services Administration (GSA) designed the Alliant contract for ease of use, with two flexible options for placing task orders:

1. Customers can take advantage of GSA’s range of Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS).  GSA’s regionally distributed AAS staff, or FEDSIM, can help you through all or part of the Alliant task order cycle, including—

   • Turning your information technology (IT) requirements into an Alliant Statement of Work
   • Completing your Federal Acquisition Regulation-compliant acquisition strategy
   • Managing the full Request for Proposal and source-selection process using GSA’s electronic acquisition systems
   • Providing contract and technical project oversight services throughout the life of the task order, including financial management, billing, deliverable tracking, and task closeout.

   Accessing these services is as easy as contacting your local GSA AAS staff.

2. Customers with access to an in-house or agency contracting officer (CO) can reach Alliant directly by using Alliant’s Direct Order/Direct Bill feature. GSA maintains a list of all authorized COs who have Alliant delegations of authority. Obtaining a delegation is a simple, one-time process, which is performed by the Alliant Program Office.
