Booz Allen has long supported efforts to assist our nation’s Wounded Warriors. We are especially committed to helping service members and their families reintegrate into civilian life through programs and activities that bolster physical and mental well-being and strengthen ties to the community. As part of this commitment, more than 100 Booz Allen employees have contributed to assist disabled veterans at both the National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic and Disabled American Veterans Winter Sports Clinic. These week-long events provide newly injured service members with opportunities to learn adaptive sports and recreational activities. Such activities provide significant therapeutic benefits to veterans who have suffered amputations, traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other neurological disorders. In addition to the adaptive activities, the clinic gives veterans, their family members, and caregivers an opportunity to interact with others who share their experiences and learn new ways to work together to overcome the challenges of their disabilities.

As one of the major sponsors of both events, Booz Allen has provided financial support, planning assistance, and a significant number of hands-on volunteers to help ensure the success of these events. Our contributions across the two events have totaled more than $100,000 and 2,000 volunteer hours. Our funds and volunteers have helped to ensure disabled veteran participants receive assistance and support as they train throughout the year. In addition, our assistance has helped provide food, housing, medical attention, and other necessary support during the events. Through direct community and pro bono efforts and strong relationships with several veteran organizations, Booz Allen positively influencing how Wounded Warriors reintegrate into society following their brave military service.
