Booz Allen Hamilton

R23G and Small Business

Commitment to Small Business

Booz Allen takes our commitment to small businesses very seriously.  We have a proven record of meeting and/or exceeding the small business goals of every delivery order we have been awarded.  The R23G Team employs these same innovative methods to ensure that we will exceed small business utilization requirements.

To develop our R23G Team, Booz Allen chose “best-in-class” teammates in each of the skill areas of the R23G PWS.  Many of these team members have successfully collaborated to support the CECOM LCMC mission in the past.  This team concept has the primary focus of achieving the best possible solution.

The nature of the CECOM LCMC’s requirements demands more than the typical arms-length relationship between the Government and prime contractor, and between the prime contractor and subcontractors. Booz Allen developed the vision for a partnership that would understand that R23G support is not a series of single, isolated transactions; rather, it is a long-term engagement in which all stakeholders, starting with the prime and including each subcontractor, are actively engaged in helping meet the challenges CECOM faces over the next decade.

Why Booz Allen?

Booz Allen believes in contributing to the communities in which we work and in helping those citizens obtain a fair share of the economic opportunities that are available. Small business concerns and minority institutions make important contributions to Booz Allen by enhancing our competitive edge, our performance on specific contracts, and our bottom line. They also play a critical role in the future of the global economy.

To facilitate the use of small businesses under R23G, Booz Allen offers the following:

  • We have a Small Business Office (SBO) that maintains an online portal and registration process for all companies interested in working with us.
  • Our SBO has again received a rating of “Highly Successful” from the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) on our most recent audit by DCMA.
  • The Department of Defense (DoD), Office of Small Business Programs, awarded Booz Allen the Nunn-Perry Award in 2005 for the success of its mentor-protégé relationship with a woman-owned, small disadvantaged IT firm.  In 2008, Booz Allen again won the Nunn-Perry award for mentoring a small disadvantaged veteran-owned company.
  • Over the past 13 years, Booz Allen has successfully mentored more than 25 protégé firms through various mentor-protégé programs.

Booz Allen is committed to developing long-standing small business partnerships to support R23G. Please contact us to discuss our approach to this commitment and to exceeding our small business goals.
