US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (MRMC)

Program Management Support Services

The MRMC is a major subordinate command of the US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) and is headquartered at Fort Detrick, Maryland. MRMC’s mission is to sustain and improve the readiness of the armed forces through medical research, medical materiel development, medical logistics and facilities planning, medical information systems, and the development of new technologies to improve military healthcare on the battlefield. Activities span the full lifecycle management of medical materiel from lab research to development, prototyping, procurement, delivery, maintenance, and disposal. MRMC contractor personnel will support the MRMC Command Group, Research Plans and Programs Office, and the Office of the Deputy for Acquisitions, including Acquisition and Advanced Development Programs.

  • Period of performance: Base year (2/1/08–1/31/09) and 4 option years
  • Award date: January 24, 2008–January 23, 2013
  • Vehicle: Performance-based contract
  • Type: Time and Materials (T&M) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP)
  • Total potential value: ~$154M (based on awarded values) over 5 years ($28.6M in base year)
  • Sites of operation should be near Fort Detrick or MRMC Pentagon offices
  • Personnel must be available to work during core hours: 9 am–3 pm each federal workday
  • Individual task orders will define specific performance requirements and funding
  • Subcontractor: Patricio Enterprises, Inc. (small disabled veteran-owned business)

Category 2 proposals must be accompanied by organizational conflict of interest (OCI) mitigation plans.
