Striving to Improve Health and Well-Being

Booz Allen has a long history of supporting the individuals, communities, and organizations that improve health and well-being, especially within our most vulnerable populations.

Our staff members are engaged wherever they’re needed to promote the activities and causes that can enrich lives, foster self-sufficiency, and encourage independent living.

As volunteers, and as an institution, Booz Allen looks for opportunities to enrich the quality of life by improving health and well-being, and to help meet basic human needs.

Employees Get Involved

For example, more than 1,200 Booz Allen employees volunteer each year with the American Cancer Society (ACS) and thousands more contribute to fundraising activities. Since 1995, Booz Allen’s ACS Relay for Life teams have raised between $115,000 and $250,000 in annual contributions.

We also partner with So Others Might Eat (SOME) to provide a free breakfast and more to the poor, homeless, and those struggling to meet basic needs in Washington, D.C. SOME serves almost 250,000 meals annually and provides assistance for health and other needs.

There is no cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), but hundreds of Booz Allen staff help patients with ALS improve their health and well-being. The ALS Association honored us for our commitment with their inaugural Partnership for Success award.

And Booz Allen is proud to help the physicians, nurses, surgeons, and support personnel of the Virginia Hospital Center Medical Brigade (VHCMB). VHCMB has completed nine missions to Honduras, and we’ve successfully supported a second mission to bring clean water and health worker training to remote Honduran villages.

Here are just a few of the other organizations whose missions we support:

  • Second Chance
  • Suited for Change
  • American Heart Association
  • Alzheimer’s Association
  • Leukemia Lymphoma Society
