Local Community Involvement
At Booz Allen Hamilton, we believe that we must reach beyond our office walls, taking our spirit of service out into the community. We delight in reaching out in many directions to find people in need, such as Special Olympics, Rebuilding Together, Fisher House, The Neediest Kids, and Northern Virginia Family Services.
We are partners in education with community schools where Booz Allen volunteers tutor students and serve as mentors. Volunteers fix breakfast in shelters, collect food and clothing, repair homes, support the arts, compete in walks and relays, and provide pro bono support to nonprofit organizations.

The benefits of service extend beyond the people and organizations that are being helped and corporate goodwill that is generated. Benefits, tangible and intangible come to those that give of themselves—their time and talents, to the communities where they live and work. Says Atlanta-based Senior Consultant Kendra Taylor, “Service is about overcoming fear, to step into the world of another person with no agenda, but to add value.”
Each story of nonprofit support and partnership began with an individual whose contagious enthusiasm helped grow a network of committed volunteers—now numbering in the hundreds and thousands—and dedicated to supporting these outstanding organizations. When they make a personal commitment to serve, the firm backs them up with resources and advice from Community Relations staff to enhance their efforts.
