Booz Allen Named to Top 10 Companies Supporting the Arts in America

October 3, 2011

Booz Allen Hamilton has been named to the Business Committee for the Arts (BCA) list of the Ten Best Companies Supporting the Arts in America for 2011. The award, given each year by BCA, honors businesses for their “exceptional commitment to the arts through grants, local partnerships, volunteer programs, matching gifts, sponsorships and board membership.”

Booz Allen Executive Vice President Reggie Van Lee said of the honor, “For decades, Booz Allen has shown our dedication to supporting the arts through sponsorships of valuable, community-enriching programs and exhibits. Our employees also continually show their support for the arts in their communities by donating their time and expertise to arts nonprofits. In the past year alone, our employees volunteered thousands of hours for nearly 40 arts organizations.”

Among the many programs Booz Allen has supported are the Norman Rockwell exhibition at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in 2010, the Edward Hopper exhibition at the National Gallery of Art in 2007, Washington Performing Arts Society, the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, the Howard Theatre Restoration Project, Imagination Stage, Strathmore, National Museum of Natural History, Maryland Public Television, Evidence Dance Company, and the Studio Museum located in Harlem.

Van Lee will accept the award on behalf of Booz Allen at an award ceremony October 5 in New York City.
