G.I. Jobs magazine has once again included Booz Allen among the top ten Military-Friendly Employers with an eighth place ranking for the firm’s seventh year on the list. The list was drawn from a sample of 5,000 companies competing for the honor whose annual revenues exceeded $500 million.
Ranking criteria in descending weighted order included assets dedicated to military hiring, percentage of new hire veterans, Reserve/Guard policies, previous three years' ranking, and internal veteran recruiting, training, promotion, and outreach.
Booz Allen supports its military veterans and National Guard and Reserves members with its Armed Services Forum. The forum has 2,600 members and provides outreach and professional development opportunities for employees with military backgrounds and assists them with the transition from military to corporate culture. It also helps develop programs that ease reintegration when staff returns from active duty.
The magazine highlighted Booz Allen’s participation in numerous recruiting and hiring programs with community organizations and military services, and active recruitment of service men and women throughout the year at events such as Academy Women’s Leadership and Recruiting Symposium. The Booz Allen Junior Military Officer recruiting program helps identify candidates with three to eight years of active duty who can bring valuable leadership skills to our firm and our clients.
“Booz Allen admires the discipline, integrity, and skills of those who serve in our nation’s Armed Forces, and our firm actively recruits and seeks to retain the top talent coming from military service,” said Booz Allen Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ralph Shrader.
