The magazine quotes Executive Vice President Jimmy Henry, saying, “In a ‘people business,’ what better compliment could there be? We did not seek this recognition as a firm—our people pursued it. This selection shows that our staff share positive values and a dedication to excellence in everything they do.”
Ninety percent of Booz Allen employees who responded to an internal survey in 2010 said they were proud to work at the firm, and 89% said they would recommend the firm to others.
According to Henry, “Our staff see the value and impact of their work, and are committed to helping our federal government clients address the pressing problems affecting our nation.”
“Best Firms” are ranked in six categories: Quality of work, culture, leadership, career development, work–life balance, and compensation/benefits. Rankings are based on a survey of 8,000 participants representing 200 firms.
Booz Allen scored especially high on the Consulting survey in career development and culture. Henry says, “We offer our staff well-defined career paths, a wide array of tools to manage their growth, and a training program so effective, it was inducted into Training magazine’s Hall of Fame. For a professional services firm like Booz Allen, a commitment to developing innovative ideas and embracing the latest technologies is paramount. For example, we began building cyber capabilities years ago, and we’ve established our own Cyber University.
