Booz Allen Hamilton is a recipient of the 2011 PACE Award for Best Overall Program: Small Business. Awarded each year by The Clean Air Campaign, the PACE Awards highlight companies across the Atlanta, GA region that “have gone above and beyond with their employee and/or tenant commute options program.”
Booz Allen was recognized for the firm’s outstanding efforts to provide education and programs which ease the commute of its employees. Since 2003, Booz Allen has worked with the Downtown Transportation Management Association to offer carpool, vanpool, transit, telework, pedestrian and cycling resources to its 180 Atlanta-based employees. Among other notable efforts, Booz Allen Hamilton provides a full transit subsidy as well as a partial monthly subsidy for carpoolers and vanpoolers.
Elizabeth, Wayt, Manager of Booz Allen’s Sustainability Program Office, said, “As a firm, we encourage our staff to think critically about their role in the responsible and efficient uses of our resources with their clients, in their workspace, and in the community.
