The Northern Virginia Technology Council has named Booz Allen Executive Vice President Sam Strickland as Public Company CFO of the Year, in its annual CFO Awards ceremony.
Strickland oversaw Booz Allen’s successful initial public offering in November 2010, supported the Carlyle Group's earlier major investment in the firm, and led the 2008 separation and spin-off of the firm’s former commercial business. He serves as the leader of the firm’s Global Operations Team, which encompasses acquisitions, global finance, information services, infrastructure services, people services and core services. He also is a member of the firm's leadership team and on the Board of Directors.
Strickland has served on the Board of Trustees for the George Mason University Foundation and Inova Health Services, and was as a long-time Board member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Capital Hospice.
