Booz Allen Fourth Among 100 Top Military-Friendly Employers
Booz Allen Hamilton has been designated a 2013 Top 100 Military Friendly Employer® by G.I. Jobs. This year’s position at #4 marks the eighth consecutive year the firm has been included in the Top 100 Military Friendly Employers® list. The list is compiled from a data-driven survey sample of 5,000 companies whose annual revenues exceeded $500 million. Criteria for selection to the Top 100 list included the strength of company military recruiting efforts, the percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention programs, and company policies on National Guard and Reserve service.
Booz Allen is proud of its active recruitment of service men and women throughout the year at events such as Academy Women’s Leadership and Recruiting Symposium. The Booz Allen Junior Military Officer recruiting program helps identify candidates with three to eight years of active duty who can bring valuable leadership skills to our firm and our clients.
The firm supports its military veterans and National Guard and Reserves members with its Armed Services Forum. The forum has 2,600 members and provides outreach and professional development opportunities for employees with military backgrounds and assists them with the transition from military to corporate culture. It also helps develop programs that ease reintegration when staff returns from active duty.
“Military veterans embody many of Booz Allen’s core values, and we value the discipline, integrity, and skills of those who serve in our nation’s Armed Forces,” said Booz Allen Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ralph Shrader.

Now in its 10th year, the Top 100 Military Friendly Employers® list is the premier resource for transitioning service members and spouses seeking civilian employment. The survey results that determined the 2013 list were independently tested by Ernst & Young LLP based upon the weightings and methodology established by G.I. Jobs. Each year companies taking the survey are held to a higher standard than the previous year via improved methodology, criteria and weightings developed with the assistance of an Advisory Board consisting of leaders in the military recruitment community.
