Booz Allen Among Top Ten Department of Homeland Security Contractors
Booz Allen was ranked 8th in Government Security News’ FY2010 ranking of the Top 100 Department of Homeland Security Contractors. The firm had $244,373,784 in total contract value, moving up two spots on the list from 10th place last year. Booz Allen has steadily moved up in the rankings from 20th place in 2007, 11th place in 2009, and 10th place in 2010.
The average revenues gathered by a few of the companies at the top of the rankings, such as IBM and Lockheed Martin, increased somewhat from 2009 to 2010. However, that was not the case for all of the companies that made it into the top 10 list this year; the average value of their total contract awards declined from $360 million in FY2009 to $336 million in FY2010.
Government Security News compiles the rankings from contract award information made available by the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), the government agency that monitors and archives data on millions of government contractual actions each year.
Booz Allen is dedicated to supporting DHS’ mission through processes, technology, the passion of our people, and by helping to create a shared vision across the Homeland Security enterprise that all the component agencies can work closely together with a unified purpose and effort.
