Mark Gerencser is a Senior Vice President in Booz Allen Hamilton's US Government Business. He serves clients in Defense, Intelligence and Homeland Security, and Civil government agencies and ministries in the United States, Europe, Asia, and other geographic regions. Previously, he played a major role in building the firm's National Security and Homeland Security, and commercial Enterprise Resilience, related businesses.
Mr. Gerencser has served in several broad-based roles, including leading CEO summits addressing the interdependencies between Homeland Security and business; leading a Cyber-Summit for Fortune 1000 and Government Agency CIOs; chairing several technology studies for the Electronics Industries Association (EIA); and representing industry to the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) Net Assessment initiative and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Joint Requirements Oversight Committee.
Mr. Gerencser co-planned, with the U.S. Army War College, the first Government-Industry Information Assurance war game that tested industry reaction to the findings from the President's Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection (PCCIP). Similarly, he sponsored the first interactive Government-Industry war game addressing bio-terrorism implications and responses for both private industry and government. He also sponsored a war game that identified the implications of port security on businesses, their supply chains, and the economy as featured in the Wall Street Journal and Fox News.
Mr. Gerencser has served as a Director on Booz Allen's Board of Directors and is a member of the Personnel Committee as well as the corporate Ethics Committee.
Mr. Gerencser earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University, School of Engineering and an M.S. in Technology Management from the University of Maryland, University College.
