Booz Allen Receives 2001 Human Rights Award

Booz Allen Hamilton is one of only seven companies in the past 25 years to receive this honor from the Fairfax County Human Rights Commission.

The firm received the 2001 Human Rights Award during a May 2, 2002, ceremony. Booz Allen Vice President Pamela Lentz accepted the award, "on behalf of all Booz Allen employees who daily strive for better ways to understand diversity and the challenges posed by a multinational and multiethnic world."

Booz Allen was chosen for its extensive contributions to the Fairfax County, Virginia, community, including: grass-roots volunteer efforts to expand job opportunities and offer accessible products and services for individuals with disabilities; programs to reach out to at-risk youth; and the firm's pro bono studies for Special Olympics International, the United Negro College Fund, the Women's Center, and others.

Booz Allen's worldwide headquarters in suburban Washington, DC, is located in McLean, Virginia, which is part of Fairfax County.
