Hawaii Office Named as a "Best Place to Work"Booz Allen is recognized for growth in and contributions to Honolulu community. Citing Booz Allen Hamilton’s client service, core values, and team-oriented culture, Hawaii Business magazine recently named Booz Allen one of the state’s “Best Places to Work.” The firm was one of 70 local businesses selected from a total of 250 organizations nominated for the award, and among the top five companies in the large company category. This was the fourth year of the magazine’s competition and the second time Booz Allen has received the prestigious award.

“The honor not only underscores the firm’s commitment to staff, it is also a strong reflection of the energy and commitment staff have shown to our clients and the community,” says vice president Chuck Jones, who leads the Honolulu office. “This is clear recognition from local leaders that Booz Allen is an important contributor to the Honolulu business environment, as well as a great place to work.”
Over the years, Honolulu based staff have increasingly become involved in community and business endeavors, including participating on civic boards and advising the state on its workforce development plan, the latter of which is critical for Hawaii to compete more effectively in the global economy. Jones accepted the award on behalf of the firm at a dinner on March 27, 2008 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
According to Hawaii Business, “Best Places to Work is our annual look at companies that embrace the simple principle that if your people flourish, your company flourishes.” Award-winning businesses were judged on a number of criteria, including “creating a supportive company culture where people can grow and excel, both professionally and personally.”
In compiling the “Best Companies” list, the magazine collected thousands of employee surveys and company reviews by a partner company. Says Jones, “The staff is excited that Booz Allen was recognized for being people-oriented and dedicated to helping employees succeed.”
