Booz Allen Accepts Department of Justice Award for Small Business Subcontracting Achievements
The firm receives accolades for subcontracting 100% of its FY 06 DOJ subcontracted dollars to small businesses.
On June 14, 2007, Booz Allen Hamilton was recognized for its small business subcontracting accomplishments in FY 2006 with a Department of Justice Certificate of Achievement Award.
The firm was honored for subcontracting all of its FY 2006 Department of Justice (DOJ) subcontracted dollars to small businesses. These small business subcontractors provided engineering support for the DOJ’s Cryptologic and Electronic Analysis Unit.
The Department of Justice Award was presented to prime contractors who met at least one category of their small business goals.
In addition, Booz Allen subcontracted 54.9% of its total subcontracted dollars on federal reportable contracts to small businesses in FY 06.
“Small business” is defined as a business concern that is independently owned and operated, does not dominate in its field of operations, and meets the number of employees, annual revenue, and other criteria as defined by the Small Business Administration.
