Booz Allen Hamilton’s Annual Report for fiscal year 2012, “Missions that Matter: Inspired Thinking,” tells the story of how the firm serves its clients in their core missions, by bringing innovative thinking to bear on their problems and opportunities. The report features stories that describe the important work the firm undertakes to address critical challenges across market areas—cybersecurity, financial services, infrastructure, healthcare, and energy, among others. It also highlights some of the unique approaches that have long been a hallmark of Booz Allen—and the root of advantage for our clients—including Mission Engineering®, RightIT™, and Enterprise Effectiveness and Efficiency, to name a few.
Booz Allen’s inspired thinking can also be seen in the way our people apply their expertise to help make the world a better place. In this year’s Annual Report are stories about the difference the firm and its employees make in the community—by combating gang violence in San Diego, rebuilding homes around the country, promoting public health in Uganda, and much more.
Over the past year, despite a challenging and unpredictable marketplace, Booz Allen’s revenue increased 4.8 percent to $5.86 billion. In addition, Booz Allen was recently named by Fortune magazine to its list of the “World’s Most Admired Companies,” which complements numerous other awards the firm received last year in recognition of its high standing as a business, employer, and community supporter. The approximately 25,000 people of Booz Allen are proud of these achievements, but even more proud of the trust clients place in the firm, year after year, to help them with their most important missions.
