Samuel R. Strickland Sam Strickland, a Booz Allen Hamilton Executive Vice President, is the firm’s Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. He led the strategic separation of Booz Allen’s commercial business in 2008, resulting in record-setting growth for the legacy government business. He is part of the Firm Leadership Team and is a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Strickland leads the Global Operations team or infrastructure operations including acquisitions (contracts, subcontracts, and pricing), global finance, information services, infrastructure services, people services, and core services (a.k.a. shared services). He oversees strategic planning for the $5 billion firm based in McLean, Virginia. Since 1996, Mr. Strickland has led infrastructure support for the firm’s government business, its largest sector. Over the last 13 years, Booz Allen has achieved extraordinary internal growth averaging 18%. During this time, client staff also grew from 4,000 to 22,000. Mr. Strickland became Executive Vice President in 2004 and is a recognized authority on financial and business operations for the professional services industry. Mr. Strickland serves on the Board of Trustees at the George Mason University Foundation, Inc., Board of Trustees at the Inova Health System Foundation, and is the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Trustees at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. Previously, he served as a long-time Board member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Capital Hospice. He is a certified public accountant in the State of Virginia.
