Booz Allen Hamilton Senior Vice President Bob Post is based at the firm’s McLean, Virginia headquarters, where he specializes in information assurance programs and critical infrastructure protection. He leads all cyber-security efforts and business continuity planning for the firm’s federal civil agency clients, including the Departments of Veterans Affairs, Treasury and Commerce, US Postal Service, General Services Administration (GSA), Environmental Protection Agency, and Internal Revenue Service.

Mr. Post’s key expertise involves:

  • Information assurance and other cyber-security services
  • Business continuity of operations
  • Critical infrastructure protection
  • Legal and regulatory compliance
  • Contingency and computer security incident response planning

Since joining Booz Allen in 1986, he has leveraged his extensive knowledge in security and emergency preparedness to lead projects that include:

  • Supporting the National Communications System in developing national level continuity of operations and emergency preparedness plans relating to National Security/Emergency Preparedness telecommunications
  • Supporting the Department of Health and Human Services in launching their agency-wide security program
  • Developing critical infrastructure protection support for a commercial client in Japan

A recognized thought leader, Mr. Post has been a conference speaker at events such as the Federal Office Systems Exposition (FOSE) and the Disaster Recovery Institute Conference, where he first presented his briefing, “The Seven Deadly Sins of Contingency Planning.” This briefing is still circulated widely on the Internet and quoted on several websites, include those of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and GSA.

A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Mr. Post is a member of the Computer Security Institute and the International Information Systems Security Certifications (ISC2). Prior to joining Booz Allen, he worked with Brogan Associates, Inc., where he provided operations security support for classified government clients. He also served in the U.S. Army as a counterintelligence agent.

Mr. Post earned an MBA from Virginia Polytechnical Institute and State University, a Graduate Certificate in telecommunications and information systems from Johns Hopkins University, and a B.A. degree in criminal justice from Stonehill College.
