Joseph W. Mahaffee

Executive Vice President Joe Mahaffee is an experienced leader and manager of national security programs. He has more than 29 years of professional experience and technical leadership in the areas of information assurance, cybersecurity, signals intelligence (SIGINT), mission/business assurance, and enterprise resilience.

Mr. Mahaffee began his career at Booz Allen Hamilton in 1981 providing system engineering and security support on key Navy and Joint Service programs such as the Advanced Narrowband Digital Voice Terminal (ANDVT) and MILSTAR.  As his career progressed, he became the lead systems engineer for the Navy's High Frequency Anti-Jam (HFAJ) and Link-II Improved (LEI) program.

Mr. Mahaffee was elected Vice President in 1998 and has served as the leader of our Maryland Procurement Office business.  In this role, he focused on meeting the SIGINT and Information Assurance mission objectives by providing a broad range of technology related services, including:

  • Systems Engineering and Analysis
  • Software Development
  • Modeling and Simulation
  • System Prototyping
  • Advanced Telecommunications Analysis
  • Information Assurance Support

Mr. Mahaffee is very active in the professional community.  He served on the Board of Directors for the AFCEA Central Maryland Chapter, serves on the Board of Directors for the Independent College Fund (I-Fund) of Maryland, and is Chairman of the I-Fund National Security Scholarship Program.

Mr. Mahaffee holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
