Mark Jacobsohn, a Booz Allen Hamilton Vice President, is a senior leader in the field of Modeling, Simulation, Wargaming and Analysis. This multi-disciplinarian group of more than 1,000 staff provides support to each of the firm’s three major markets of defense, security, and civil. Mr. Jacobsohn leads the team’s efforts in the security markets, with a focus on the Intelligence Community (IC), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the Law Enforcement community.

Mr. Jacobsohn also manages significant efforts with the Department of Defense, including ongoing work for the Joint IED Defeat Organization (JIEDDO), the Combatant Commands (COCOMs), and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Mr. Jacobsohn is most widely known as a wargamer, having designed and executed several hundred events over the course of his career, ranging from small tabletop exercises to larger signature events. He has also helped develop and employ a broad set of modeling and simulation tools ranging from course of action analysis for national warplans to detailed tactical modeling and visualization tools in support of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Prior to joining Booz Allen, Mr. Jacobsohn worked for Science Applications International Corporation, focusing on nuclear arms control and the revolution in military affairs.

Mr. Jacobsohn is a member of the Military Operations Research Society (MORS), and holds a B.A. in Government from Hamilton College, and an M.A. in Security Policy Studies from the George Washington University. He also holds a certificate from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government for completion of the Senior Executives in National and International Security Program.
