Joan A. Dempsey Joan Dempsey was elected Vice President at Booz Allen Hamilton in 2005 and became a Senior Vice President in 2009. In 2003, Ms. Dempsey was appointed by President Bush as executive director of the President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board. In May 1998 she was confirmed by the Senate to serve as first deputy director of central intelligence for community management. She spent 17 years in the Department of Defense working in various positions, including deputy director of intelligence at the Defense Intelligence Agency, director of the General Defense Intelligence Program, and deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence and security.
