Gregory G. Wenzel

Booz Allen Hamilton Senior Vice President Greg Wenzel leads the firm’s Advanced Enterprise Integration efforts, which focus on leveraging emerging technologies to solve client needs.

A specialist in distributed computing solutions, he has extensive experience with intelligence systems, tactical warfighting systems, commercial Web-based systems, and advanced distribution simulations for clients that include the U.S. military and intelligence community.

Mr. Wenzel develops leading-edge solutions in:

  • B2B exchanges
  • Service-oriented architectures (SOAs)
  • Distributed simulation
  • Grid computing
  • Net-Centricity

Mr. Wenzel applies over two decades of life cycle software development expertise to his projects at Booz Allen, which include the Net-Centric transformation of IT systems in the Department of Defense and across its enterprise. These Net-Centric solutions enable DoD communities to integrate and share information easily.

He was chief engineer for distributed applications supporting multiple clients of the firm across the DoD. One engagement involved designing a system that would be a preventive measure in counterterrorism and enable intelligence analysts to work collaboratively with other DoD and federal agencies.

Mr. Wenzel also served as chief architect for several commercial B2B exchanges. In one engagement, he served as project lead for a B2B exchange that integrated multiple large airline and oil companies to provide efficiencies in the jet fuel supply chain. For another client, he developed a simulation gateway that created a higher fidelity representation of the client’s air and missile defense capabilities that simulated live tactical systems.

For 11 years, Mr. Wenzel served in the Military Reserves and achieved the rank of Captain. At the end of his service, his responsibilities included supporting a brigade of light infantry for mobility and counter-mobility operations.

He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society and the Association for Computing Machinery.  A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, where he earned an M.S. degree in computer science, Mr. Wenzel also has a B.S. in computer science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
